About

Hello, we are Tom and Mona Sloan, 3rd generation missionaries serving in Latin America. We were married in Nov. ’93, and now have five beautiful children.

We have a wonderful godly heritage.  Tom’s grandfather, LH Ashcraft served in Mexico for 30 years, until his death.  He started the Mount Hebron ministries in Monterrey, Mexico.     Tom’s  father Tom Sr. also served in Mexico for 34 years.  Now, all 7 of his siblings serve the Lord as missionaries.    There are currently 55 of LH Ashcraft descendents in full time service.

Mona also comes from a Christian home.  Her father, Hank Thompson pastored in Austin, TX until his death in ’09.

We went to the field in ’94 and established two churches in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. After returning to the states in ’05 we served in our home church Monte Calvario Iglesia Bautista for 3 years before starting another Hispanic church in New Iberia, LA.  Along with church planting, we are putting in radio stations.

In September 2012 the first station of Compassion Radio network started broadcasting.  The second radio station is scheduled to start broadcasting in June 2014.  As soon as more funds come in, we plan on putting up the third radio station in Guatemala.   Our prayer is to reach “BEYOND the next mountain” with the radio ministry.
